Candied Yams

  1. 6 medium sweet potatoes
  2. 1 cup of dark brown sugar (firmly packed down)
  3. 1/4 cup of butter
  4. 1/2 tsp. salt


Cook yams - boil to soften up
Boil brown sugar and butter (about 5 minutes)
Pour sugar and butter over potatoes
Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes
Keep spooning glaze over the potatoes as they bake
Keep turning the potatoes over as they cook
