Cut steak into 1/2" strips. Brown the steak in Crisco.
Stir in chopped onions and flour. Cook until onions are tender, stirring occasionally.
Add diced canned tomatoes, water, tomato paste, sugar, salt & pepper and Worcestershire sauce.
Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hrs. or until meat is tender. Stir occasionally.
Add sliced mushrooms and sour cream. Put mixture into 2 qt. casserole and top with sour cream puffs. Brush with sour cream. Bake at 425 degrees for 20-25 additional minutes.
SOUR CREAM PUFFS
Sift together 1 1/4 cups sifted flour, 2 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. salt. Cut in 1/4 cup Crisco until particles are fine. Add 3/4 cup sour cream.
Stir with fork until dough clings together in a ball (will be sticky). Pat out on a well-floured surface to 1/2" thickness. Cut to 8 2.5" biscuits. Top with 1" biscuit.
