1. Saute the sausage and onions and let cool.
2. Mince the mushroom stems and add about half of them into the cream cheese along with the sausage and onions.
3. Sprinkle a liberal amount of granulated garlic (or you can use fresh minced garlic, if you prefer).
4. Mix well until all ingredients are mixed in.
5. Stuff the mushrooms with the mixture and top with gluten free or panko breadcrumbs.
6. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
